This service is designed for you if you check all of these boxes:
You were in a recent auto accident (ideally within 30 days, but we can help up to 6 months if you're still in pain).
You were not at fault.
You have pain or reduced movement (neck, back, headaches, stiffness, reduced range of motion).
You have insurance coverage (either the other driver's, your own UM/UIM, or an attorney handling your case).
You want actual recovery, not just pain medication.
You were in a hit-and-run and don't know how to get care.
You already have an attorney or want to see one after starting care.
One of the first things accident victims ask us is, "Will this raise my insurance rates?" The short answer is no. In New Mexico, when you're not at fault, using your insurance to cover chiropractic care is protected by law.
Their insurance covers your treatment. Your own policy is used only as backup if needed.
You're still covered. In New Mexico, using this coverage does not raise your insurance rates when you're not at fault.
Your attorney adds the treatment costs to your case and pays the clinic once the settlement is resolved.
You can still start care right away. If any issues arise, we can connect you with trusted attorneys who specialize in personal injury cases.
Some of these injuries hurt immediately. Others develop over days or weeks. Either way, they need the right treatment to heal properly. Common conditions we treat in our Rio Rancho chiropractic clinic include:
Here's how your first appointment works so there are no surprises.
We'll discuss your accident, current symptoms, and medical history. We'll also guide you on insurance or attorney steps if needed.
Posture and motion testing to find instability or nerve interference that may not show up on standard imaging.
Low-exposure images to identify ligament laxity or misalignment that could lead to long-term problems.
Based on your injury grade and recovery goals. You'll start noticing improvements within your first few visits.
Learn spinal hygiene and self-care habits for long-term stability and to prevent future problems.
We measure what's actually damaged in your spine using ligament laxity testing. We take targeted X-rays to see the exact nature of your injury. Then we build a recovery plan based on those findings, not just on how much it hurts. Your recovery happens in phases:
Pain reduction and neurological reconnection using techniques like Hako-Med electro-stimulation
Rebuilding strength and stability through targeted adjustments and rehab
Teaching you spinal hygiene habits so the injury doesn't return
You have options after an accident. Here's how they compare:

Our clinic is conveniently located in Rio Rancho, just minutes from Albuquerque West.
Not in New Mexico. When you're not at fault, using your auto insurance (including UM/UIM for hit-and-run cases) to cover chiropractic care is protected by state law. Your rates will not increase.
Most accident patients begin feeling relief early in care. Full recovery depends on the severity of your injury and how your body responds to treatment. Our thorough Spinal Health Assessment helps us accurately measure any ligament or spinal damage so we can guide you toward full function as efficiently as possible.
No. You don’t need an attorney to start care, we can work directly with your insurance company. If they give you any pushback, we have the experience to help you get the care you need and deserve. And if legal help becomes necessary, we can connect you with a trusted attorney from our vast network.
You're covered. Your UM/UIM insurance activates for hit-and-run cases where you're not at fault. We bill your UM/UIM directly, and as mentioned above, this won't raise your rates in New Mexico.
If you're currently under care with another chiropractor for the same accident injury, we recommend finishing that course of care first to avoid complications.
Ideally, as soon as possible after your accident. The best long-term results happen when we can assess and begin care within the first few days to weeks. However, if you’re still in pain up to six months later, or if previous treatment hasn’t helped, we can still evaluate your condition and help you recover properly.
If you weren’t at fault, your care is typically covered by insurance. The at-fault driver’s auto insurance will pay for your initial assessment, X-rays, and all follow-up care until you reach maximum medical improvement. If it was a hit-and-run or the other driver didn’t have insurance, your own auto insurance (UM/UIM) will cover your care, and in New Mexico, this won’t increase your insurance rates.
The first step is simple. Answer a few quick questions so we know you're a fit for what we do, and we'll get you scheduled. Most accident victims wait too long. The sooner you get evaluated, the better your recovery tends to go. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain.
